Five steps from first hearing about us to working member:
- Apply through the Join page. Applications open each semester and no experience is needed.
- Join the Discord server. Discord is the team’s main channel for announcements, subteam discussion and day-to-day questions.
- Complete intake and onboarding with a lead: safety induction, access, and introductions to both subteams.
- Complete probation alongside your subteam.
- Take up subteam placement and start contributing.
If any step is unclear, ask in Discord or through the contact page.
2 How the team is organised
Racerbot has two working teams: the Autonomous Team, which develops the self-driving software, and the Tech Team, which handles electronics, tools and parts, 3D modelling, testing, calibration and tuning, firmware and club IT. Both sit under an Executive Board of seven offices. Meet them all on Our Teams.
3 What is expected of you
Member expectations live in the governing instruments, not on this page. Start with Article II (Principles and Commitments) and Article III (Membership) of the Constitution. Both are in drafting and not in force. Before working in the lab, read the Lab safety documents.
4 Dev environment setup
